About Validate-3D LLC
Validate-3D, LLC was formed in 2008 by Dean Watts, a mechanical engineer who has been a Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) trainer, and coach for the past 20 years. Dean is a registered PE in the State of Washington and certified as a Senior Level GD&T Professional by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) (GDTP S-0295). He is also a member of the ASME standards development committees Y14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing, Y14.8 Castings Forgings and Molded Parts, and he is the Chair of the ASME Y14.45 Measurement Data Reporting committee. He started his career with 3 years of full time experience in production machining, precision Sheetmetal, and TIG welding. He is also a retired U.S. Coast Guard Reserve officer, and former U.S. Navy Submarine Warfare Officer, so if a security clearance is necessary to work with your company that should be relatively easy for Dean to obtain.
The Operations Manager at Validate-3D LLC is Libby Watts. Her experience includes furniture design and construction project management, but she now enjoys the "exciting" world of GD&T. Libby is also the "designated speaker" for asking all quiz questions and reading all GD&T definitions provided in our training.
Validate-3D LLC provides GD&T training and consulting, 3D tolerance analysis services using "VSA" software, and contract employee placement and employment in any role that includes dimensional tolerancing specification, drafting, analysis, or inspection.
An objective of Validate-3D, LLC is to employ only the best people who are known to be experts in their respective fields. Validate-3D, LLC currently employs three tolerance analysts, three ASME Senior level certified Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing Professionals (GDTP), two mechanical drafters, and one metrology technician. We are uniquely qualified to screen, evaluate and employ personnel who can provide these services to your company.
Validate-3D, LLC also provides mechanical product or tooling design services using Solidworks CAD, and mechanical drafting services using Solidworks or using Creo Elements Direct Modeling Annotation.
